I am particularly looking forward to two exciting projects in the region in 2026. Preparations for my exhibition at the Paxmann Gallery and for the Sculpture Triennial in Bingen are already in full swing.
It all kicks off on 20 February with a solo show ‘Contemporary Art in the Water Tower’ at the Paxmann Gallery in Bornheim. Until the end of March, I will be putting the facade of the heritage-listed water tower in the Brenig district in a new ‘light’ with a cloudy installation. In addition, a selection of my current works will be on display on the various levels of the building, including the old water tank – from sculptures and wall objects to drawings and reverse glass painting.
It is a beautiful and fitting coincidence that this special location allows me to revisit the theme of ‘water supply,’ which I recently explored during my artist residency in Mandranova, Sicily.
I am also proud to be represented at this year’s Sculpture Triennial in Bingen with one of my works. From 16 May to 4 October, various works by contemporary artists will be on display and open to all interested art lovers on the banks of the Rhine in the city of Bingen. My contribution to this extraordinary event in the romantic Middle Rhine Valley, which has been taking place every three years since 2008, is a large pink installation at the Museum am Strom (Hildegard von Bingen Museum) with a view of the Rhine.
As a preview, here are two project sketches. We will keep you regularly updated here on the realisation of this and other upcoming projects.
