My sculptures often emerge as part of larger projects. I frequently develop them from models that I create in advance of large installations. Other pieces are born from my imagination. Unlike my installations, which are specific to a particular location, my sculptures are standalone and independent of any particular place. Colours, shapes and materials such as chicken wire are therefore reminiscent of the series ‘Once upon a time…’. Other works spring from my imagination.
