Wall objects
In my wall objects, I often pick up the artistic thread that I started with an installation in a specific location or landscape. Other works relate to landforms and natural phenomena that I associate with special experiences and emotions from my life. A good example is the Series ‘Once upon a time… Mandranova Tubes’. Here, I process my experiences and impressions gathered during my artist residency in Mandranova, Sicily. Inspired by the local irrigation systems for olive trees and the dry soil, I work with cement and black and transparent water hoses. The series ‘Cement and Paper’ and ‘Fire and Plexiglass’ also refers to places and sensory experiences from my life. Here, it is the colours and shapes of thermal springs in Tunisia, which I have had in my mind since childhood, as well as geysers and volcanoes.
